Constipation can be an annoying, uncomfortable, and sometimes painful experience to go through. This article will give you some constipation remedies you can use to help you with your problems. Keep in mind that the results you get will depend on your condition. If your condition is pretty bad, meaning you have a hard time going and it’s been a while, you will want to see your doctor.
Before I get into the home remedies for constipation, let’s first make sure that you really have constipation. Some people believe that if they don’t go a certain amount of times a day, there is something wrong with them and that they probably have constipation. The amount of times you go can really vary. It can be anywhere from 3 times a day to 3 times a week. So unless if you go way less than 3 times a week, you probably don’t have to worry. Now if you have to strain a lot when you go, then you probably have constipation. If you have any doubts, just ask your doctor.
So here are some natural remedies for constipation. One of the best things you can do is to drink plenty of water. This will help give your body enough fluid to digest the foods you eat. There are a lot of other great benefits to drinking water as well. If you don’t drink coffee, then you may want to try drinking a cup a day and see if that helps as well.
Another home remedy for constipation is to eat lots of fruits and vegetables such as apples, pears, oranges, corn, carrots, spinach, berries, and peas. You can also try eating a handful of raisins about an hour after every meal. Eating walnuts fresh from the shell can help as well.
Yet another natural remedy for constipation is to take a tablespoon of honey 3 times a day. You can also try drinking some warm milk before going to bed. Drinking some lemon juice without sugar has helps some people as well.
One of the best remedies for constipation is to increase your intake of fibers. You will want to eat foods that are high in fiber. Anything that has 6 grams of fiber or more will fall into this category. You will also want to get grains like cereal and bread. Some of the things you will want to avoid are things like fried foods as well as eating too fast.
Again, these constipation remedies may or may not work for you. If your problem persists, it’s best to see a doctor to be on the safe side.
