So what is the fastest way to lose weight? With so many programs out there that will promise you the moon, how do you know which ones to believe? Well, here are some things you will want to know. But first, why do you want to lose weight so fast? If you have some sort of occasion coming up where you want to look your best then trying to lose as much weight in the shortest amount of time is okay to do but if your reason is because you just want to have results right now, then you will probably be disappointed.

Most diet programs, in order to sell more of their products, will claim that you will lose a bunch of weight in a short amount of time. For most people, this is exactly what they will experience, at least for the first 1 or 2 weeks. When you go from eating a lot to eating less as well as not exercising to exercising, you will initially lose weight pretty quickly.

You can lose 10 pounds you first week. But what normally happens is that after the first initial weight loss, your progress will begin to slow down. Even though this is normal, most people will think that they are doing something wrong just because there progress isn’t as good. Once you hit your target weight, you will be much more likely to stay there since you have made your current diet and exercise regimen a lifestyle and not just some temporary fix.

Having that in mind, one of the fastest ways to lose weight is to simply cut down on your calorie intake and exercise more. This doesn’t mean you have to starve yourself. In fact, you don’t want to starve at all. If you are eating 3 large meals a day, which to 5-6 small meals a day. In terms of working out, you only need to workout for about 45 minutes a day. You will also want to incorporate weight lifting as well. So cardio one day, weight training the next day and so on.

This may not be the fastest way to lose weight that you are looking for but if you are serious about not only losing the weight but keeping it off, then realize that progress will always be fast at first and will come to a steady pace. Expect this to happen, be consistent, and before long, you will hit your goals. This is faster than having to constantly start over like what most people do.
