Dealing with Forehead Acne

Do you have a problem with forehead acne? If so, you are definitely not alone. Having acne appear on your forehead is quite common. Many teenagers as well as people in their 20′s who experience having acne will find that much of it will appear on their forehead. Depending on how much you have as well as your self image, this can be either an embarrassing situation or something you just brush off. In either case, if you want to get rid of the acne on your forehead, there are a few things you can do to help make that happen.

The first thing you will want to realize is that there can be several forehead acne causes. For most teens, it’s due to their hormones so basically, it’s just a phase that you are going through. However, it doesn’t mean that the amount of acne that shows up on your forehead is out of your control. One thing you should make sure you always do is to wash your face with soap every night. During the day, dust and dirt can get onto your face which can cover up the pores on your skin, causing bacteria and other things to build up. By washing your face, you will also be lowering the amount of oil that is on your skin as well. People with really oily skin will typically experience more acne on their forehead.

Another thing you can do to help prevent or at least reduce the amount of forehead acne that you have is to use sunscreen and stay out of the sun. You will also want to make sure you drink plenty of water as well to help reduce the oiliness of your skin. Using facial products such as cleansers will also help with your acne problem. One thing you will want to avoid doing is popping your acne way too soon. This can lead to forehead acne scars which you definitely don’t want to have since they are way harder to get rid of than acne. Although you will have to urge to just get rid of those embarrassing zits on your face, you will need to be patient and let the acne go through its natural process. Doing some of the things mentioned above will help speed up that process.

If you are looking for some type of forehead acne treatment then you can ask your dermatologist for some recommendations. For the most part, most teens who go through this embarrassing or uncomfortable phase will get out of it once they hit their mid 20′s. You will want to stay away from foods that can cause outbreaks and do things like wash your face and eat correctly as well as get plenty of sleep to help reduce the amount that appears on your face. You can also get spot treatment products as well if you only have a couple of zits. Just remember that this isn’t permanent and with a bit of care, you can dramatically reduce the amount of forehead acne that you have.
