Using Green Eyeshadow
If you are looking for a bold, fresh look, green eyeshadow might just be what you are looking for. Green is a color that can look great on anyone, if they choose the right shades. It’s important to note the correct green hue for your skin tone, or you will end up looking washed out.
If you don’t know how to apply green eyeshadow to maximize your look, you can look to a green eyeshadow tutorial. A great place to look is on Youtube. Although many of the people on there are beginners, you can still find some true professionals on there that will give you great tips for free. Watching a video step by step is a nice way to learn to apply just about any type of makeup. Most of the tutorials are similar in that they advise to get your best look, you must apply your eyeshadow first. This is especially important when applying bold colors. When you are going for a bold look, less is more. By starting with your eyes, you can get an idea of how much more makeup you will actually need to apply on other parts of the face. In many cases, all you need is a little lipstick and a touch of blush. There are various shades that you can choose from that also have hints of other colors such as silver or blue.
On darker skin tones you will want to use a dark green color. The darker green will usually include a touch of blue and actually have more of a blue appearance than green, once applied. A nice bronzer is used to touch up the cheeks and a black liner is used to make the lashes appear longer. Usually a caramel or chocolate color lipstick looks best with darker greens on darker skin.
For skin tones that have a pink undertone to it, a darker green looks almost black. If you are going for a seductive look, this is the perfect way to enhance the lighter skin tone. Generally a dusting of pink blush does nicely to enhance the cheeks and a light brown-to pink lipstick brings out the lips. For skin tones with a yellow undertone, a light green eyeshadow has golden hues that complement the skin tone. A light dash of pink for the cheeks and a light brownish-orange colored lipstick brings out the best look in these women. Lime green eyeshadow is considered tacky in most magazines.
Green eyeshadow, when applied correctly, can look stunning on a person. You can consult with a make-up sales counter to experiment with the best colors to match your skin tone. Blue and green eyeshadow is no longer considered a fashion faux pas.
