There is one thing you need to know before you try hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening though and that is it can cause your teeth and gums to feel a bit sensitive. For some people, it may even hurt. Using hydrogen peroxide for teeth whitening is really effective but if your gums can’t take it, you may have to try something else. Typically though, the sensitivity will only last for the duration that the substance is on your teeth such as if you were using the strips or trays.
